Everyone needs to stay motivated. Tumblr has definitely provided me with motivation over the months, so I figured I would contribute to other's journeys.

It’s happening. They’re coming. Closer. Not very fast, but steady.

…the zombs!

We need to do what we can to get out of this alive! And the only thing that can be done, is to RUN!

This is the Zombies, Run! October Challenge. ANYONE is free to join this challenge as long as you…

Is it too late to join this?!!

Run Report - Week 1, Day 1
Scheduled Run: 3 Miles, easy Pace (4 mph)
Notes: Today is day one of my 8 week, 5k improver program. The instructions called for an easy pace I could keep the full 3 miles so I set the treadmill at 4 mph. I completed it easily, but still got a good workout.
Tech Issues: I am getting used to running on the treadmill and using the zombies run app and had tech issues with both. I didn’t let it spoil my run and expect to get these issues behind me within a few runs.
October Targets: 3/70 miles down.
Zombies Run ID: Johnpfromkc

Good Job! I need to check out the Zombie Challenge I am seeing it everywhere!

Happy #nationalkaleday! If I was Beyoncé, kale would be my Jay-z. Not a day goes without this cruciferous super-veggie (right @kaleandchocolate? 😉) Let’s keep it seasonal with this Blueberry, fig & kale oasis smoothie with @windycityorganics tahini and @emmysorganics raw buckwheat cereal 👌Find recipe on www.breakfastcriminals.com and follow me on twitter @breakfastcrmnls for another exciting announcement today! #breakfastcriminals (at www.breakfastcriminals.com)

Hi all :)
I am using this as my introduction to both runningtohalloween and stayaliveoctober. My name is John, and I am a runner :)
Last month I did 100km and completed my first formal 10k race :) I was slow as snot, but I finished.
This month, I am shooting for 70 miles (112 km.) I am starting Week 1 of an 8 week plan to help improve my 5K pace. I have never been worried about pace before so this is a new challenge for me.
I am a big fan of C25K and 0to10k programs, both of which I have completed in the past 6 months. Let me know if I can be of any assistance on either plan or anything else “new runner” related.
See you on the course :)

Heya! I’m Desiree. Been a runner for five years now! Love the Zombies, Run! App so was uber excited when I saw the challenge! Also will be doing the runningtohalloween and teamnocheats. I’m recovering from an injury right now so I don’t have a well defined idea of how much I’ll be running but I want to complete as many missions as I can. I’ve had the app so long and have only done a few. So, there’s no better time than now to get them done! i love everything zombie (you should see my room…I’m basically Norman from paranorman) HUGEEEE fan of the Walking Dead so if roamers/walkers attacked I’d deff wanna go Daryl Dixon and use a crossbow. I think it’s an ideal weapon when facing zombies, silent, relatively quick usage. I suppose the cons would be very limited “ammunition.” You don’t always find arrows lying around in the middle of the zombie apocalypse! So I suppose when things get tough having an additional weapon could be useful.
